Shadowhunters
Here's what fans can expect from “Shadowhunters” Season 2. Freeform

A big part of “Shadowhunters” Season 2 will be devoted to finding Jace (Dominic Sherwood) after he joined forces with Valentine (Alan van Sprang). Clary (Katherine McNamara) will be involved in the search, but she’s not the only one who will find Jace’s disappearance difficult to deal with. Jace’s disappearance will also take a toll on his parabatai, Alec (Matthew Daddario).

Parabatais have a special connection, and Alec will definitely feel that something is missing while Jace is gone. In an interview with With an Accent TV, as quoted by Blasting News, Daddario explained how his character will deal with the issue, saying: “He doesn’t like it. He’s not handling it well.”

The actor continued: “He’s not himself at all. [Part of himself] is missing. He has no way to handle this. He doesn’t know how to deal with it at all. He doesn’t know who to turn to.”

Alec’s struggle with temporarily losing his parabatai will be showcased in the upcoming season’s third episode, titled “Parabatai Lost.” Speaking of the episode, series showrunner Todd Slavkin promised that fans will shed a tear or two.

Jace’s disappearance will be so hard for Alec that it will cause him to take it out on Clary. The two have always had a tainted relationship, but things will take a turn for the worse in the second season of the series. In a clip teasing the upcoming installment, Alec is shown blaming Clary for what happened to Jace.

Before the confrontation between Clary and Alec, fans will see how the Clave will react to Jace’s disappearance and Valentine’s move to create an army in the first episode of the season. Alliances between unlikely characters will also be formed. New faces, including Nick Sagar, will also grace the second season.
