The name Sharkeisha has suddenly become synonymous not only with the sucker punch seen around the country, but also the unfair, closed-fisted sneak attack that could be clearly heard when Sharkeisha hit an unsuspecting girl with all her might. On Tuesday night, the video started to go viral after Twitter users started to comment on the video, which was originally on Instagram.

After nearly 22 hours, the violent attack was taken down from the Facebook-owned social media site, but not before thousands had "favorited" and commented on Sharkeisha's assault. But in the age of the Internet, just because the clip can no longer be viewed on IG, does not mean Sharkeisha's shark-like attack does not live on. World Star Hip Hop has the full video, and it can also be seen here. On Tuesday night around 10:30 EST, the video jumped from 12,000 to 20,000 "favorites" in a matter of minutes, which is when it was taken off Instagram.

The original video that was posted on Instagram was only a few seconds long and showed Sharkeisha punch the victim, whose name appears to be Shay, when she was looking off into a different direction. The video cuts out after Sharkeisha kicks the girl, apparently in the face, after wailing on her for several seconds. Finally, bystanders intervene and pull Sharkeisha off Shay. It's not yet known what the girl did, or even if she did anything, to deserve the slugger's iron fist to her face, but in the extended video on World Star Hip Hop, Sharkeisha begins to verbally attack the girl while she is held back by someone else.

It's surprising the video stayed on Instagram for nearly an entire day, considering it doesn't allow violence on the site. The Terms of Use page states, "You may not post violent, nude, partially nude, discriminatory, unlawful, infringing, hateful, pornographic or sexually suggestive photos or other content via the Service." The violence clause is the second rule in the basic terms.

It was rumored that Sharkeisha was arrested for the assault and her "mugshot" began to circulate on Twitter Wednesday.
