"Sharknado 2: The Second One" premieres tonight on Syfy at 9 p.m. EDT in what is sure to become the "Godfather Part II" of made-for-TV movie sequels.

The original "Sharknado," about a freak storm that carries legions of killer sharks out of the water and into Los Angeles, premiered last summer and became an instant cultural phenomenon, with fans firing off 5,000 tweets per minute during the movie’s premiere.

As we prepare for “Sharknado”-mania to hit again we went back to find the best moments, lines, GIF’s, and videos from the original:

The film’s dazzling special effects brought to life a “Sharknado” touching down on the city of Los Angeles. What’s a “Sharknado” you ask? It turns out it’s quite literally a tornado filled with man-eating sharks.

One line from the movie pretty much sums it up:

"Sharks in a tornado. Sharknado. Simply stunning."

However, just because the sharks are being flung through the air at high speeds doesn’t mean they don’t have time for a snack.

When the storm eventually hits the city becomes a blood bath of hungry sharks, inspiring the next truly great line:

"I guess it's that time of the month."

Early on in the movie we have a modern classic referencing an old one with this shark kill tribute to Steven Spielberg’s “Jaws.”

When things get hairy in “Sharknado,” it gets personal for Nova:

"They took my grandfater. So, I really hate sharks."

Luckily, Matt has the perfect solution:

"Instead of letting live sharks rain down on people, we're going to get into that chopper and throw bombs into the tornadoes."

However, when grappling with a “Sharknado,” sometimes you have to get your hands (and the rest of your body) dirty.

It also helps to have a chainsaw!

In the end, surviving a "Sharknado" just makes us grateful for each other.
