As the premier motorsport Grand Prix season begins in Singapore from 17 to 26th September the city is gearing up with a series of parties, art exhibitions, Sound Park, and shopping festivals. While the night race is the prime attraction, the city is also gearing up for a major attraction with the opening of the Marina Bay Sands.

According to director of Singapore Tourism Board, this year the city will offer diverse activities to the visitors. Since the race will take place in the heart of the city, many lifestyle events will be held around the area. It will have attraction for the shopaholic, the gourmet lover and the sports enthusiast.

There will be the Grand Prix Season Singapore Sound Park that will feature Singapore's biggest DJ console, and 13-meter-long soundbox to allow the visitors immerse in music. This free access attraction will allow the visitors to bring out their inner musician. The sound park will also have race exhibitions and dance performances. Singers like Mariah Carey, Missy Elliot, Adam Lambert will perform live at the Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix stage in the park. Besides that the exclusive Amber Lounge Fashion will be launched outside of Monaco in Singapore. This will give the visitors a taste of VIP nightlife and will host after race parties for the F1 racers. There will be numerous party options and the celebrated Podium Lounge that was launched last year will be held at the Ritz Carlton Millenia.

Music and parties aside there will be art exhibitions with special focus on digital arts with live shows focusing on celebrated artists like Bertrand Planes and Visual System. They will showcase suspended aerial light sculpture a digital red carpet pathway, a light and sound installation, and 3D visual effects.
