SOPA, PIPA Blackout
Wikipedia initiated a blackout Wednesday, Jan. 18, in protest of the anti-piracy bills SOPA and PIPA. SOPA and PIPA are two Congressional bills meant to halt the illegal copying and sharing of movies and music on the Internet, among other aims. However, major Internet organizations -- such as Wikipedia, Reddit and Boing Boing -- claim the bills will hinder their operations and are ready to protest. wikipedia.org

As per previous notice, in protest over United States Congress’ SOPA legislation, Wikipedia has blacked out for 24 hours to raise awareness. Can you imagine one whole day without the services of Wikipedia in your life? It can become a little stressful. However, there is still hope for all those who desperately want to get access to the Web site without being shown the “Imagine a World Without Free Knowledge” message on the landing page every time.

So here’s what you do: Once you open the desired Wikipedia page, waste no time and press the Esc key on your keyboard to freeze the page while it is still loading, and behold! The demons of SOPA will be exorcized at once and you’ll be able to access Wikipedia like any other normal day.
