Southern California Edison signed an agreement to buy 90 megawatts of power from a wind farm developed by Seattle-based Ridgeline Energy and BP Wind Energy.

The agreement is valid for 20 years and the company will but the power from the Goshen II farm in Bonneville County, east of Idaho falls. The wind project is ready to be built, but the agreement between the companies has yet to be approved by the California Public Utilities Commission.

The construction phase is expected to start in 2010.

Ridgeline is also seeking approval for a wind project of 150 turbines in Idaho called Goshen South and is expected to generate a total of 450 megawatts of power. The project would start to be built this year if approved, according to Idahobusiness.net.
