S&P 500 jumps more than 2 percent
The S&P 500 index rose more than 2 percent on Thursday, led by gains in financials after Wednesday's steep selloff.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was up 185.01 points, or 1.73 percent, at 10,904.95. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> rose 22.56 points, or 2.01 percent, at 1,143.32. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> added 52.50 points, or 2.20 percent, at 2,433.55.
