Of all the events and festivals celebrated in Korea, the Boryeong Mud Festival lures the largest number of international visitors to the country.

The 14th Boryeong Mud Festival runs from July 16 to 24. Over 2 to 3 million domestic and international tourists visit the beach during the festival each year to enjoy mud activities. This basically involves mud slides, mud wrestling, mud painting, mud marathon and mud massages.

In the evenings, music and fireworks continue to amuse and entertain the visitors at the Daecheon beach in Boryeongwhere where the event is celebrated.

Besides this, the mud packs and mud massages have many beneficial effects as they have higher levels of Germanium, Mineral and Bentonite contents compared to imported products.
