There is excitement all over the internet about the ‘high-tech’ suit that the new Spiderman movie is making for its hero, Andrew Garfield.

The last three movies left the fans pretty satisfied with the spidey costume of Tobey Maguire. It now turns out that the story doing the rounds is about the numerous fittings that Andrew had to undergo to see that the new skin-tight costume did not reveal anything inappropriate. Says Spybiz.com, “One whole day was devoted to make sure there was nothing inappropriate showing in the crotch area of the suit. Andrew should be flattered that it took so long to get that part right!

It is pretty normal for any super movie producers to undertake such rigorous and numerous fittings for the right fit. Till date, nobody has revealed the actual facts behind the high-tech aspect of it. Does it have to do with the design, the fabric or the pyrotechnics that the costume will display, is anybody’s guess.

The untitled Spiderman reboot is expected to start production in second week of December and is set for release in 2012.

Columbia Pictures has decided to go in for a full reboot of the movie with new names. Mark Webb of 500 Days of Summer fame will be directing and Andrew Garfield has been signed in to play Peter Parker. The Studio has homed in on other family members also with Martin Sheen scheduled to play Uncle Ben, Sally Field as Aunt May and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy. There will be no Mary Jane in this Spiderman.

Rhys Ifans is cast as an unnamed villain but rumors go that he might play Dr Curt Connors/Lizard. Denis Leary will play Gwen’s father, George Stacy
