After being ported from the PlayStation Portable to the PlayStation 4, “Final Fantasy Type 0 HD” will soon be available to PC users via Steam. The action roleplaying game, or RPG, originally came to the PlayStation 4 earlier this year, and it came with a demo for the heavily anticipated “Final Fantasy 15,” which will apparently get an update sometime soon.
Not much has been revealed about the PC version of “Final Fantasy Type 0 HD,” though publisher Square Enix did state that more details about the game’s PC release will be revealed in the near future. According to Game Informer, “Type 0” will join more recent titles in the series like “Final Fantasy 13” that were previously made for consoles but have since made the transition to PC.
There seems to be a renewed effort from Square Enix to have more presence in the realm of PC gaming, as the platform has grown in popularity due to applications and online stores like Steam getting more attention from gamers. This is probably why the company has decided to port a good number of its titles to the platform.
Most recently, Siliconera has announced that Square Enix would be bringing “Final Fantasy Agito” to Windows 10 PCs. The game is a free-to-play title that originally came out on smartphones but will soon make the move to the Windows 10 PC, still as a free-to-play title.
Square Enix has also tried to focus on its Massive Multiplayer Online games, or MMO, like “Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn,” which is also available for PC. The online game had recently gotten a number of updates due to how popular it has been with online gamers.
In the meantime, PC gamers will be able to try out “Final Fantasy Type 0” in the near future, as it has been praised by many fans and critics for its fast-paced combat system and interesting story that has a lot to say about the trials of war. If there were any problems, it would probably be the fact that it was ported from a PSP game, so some character models looked inferior compared to the main characters.
