After making “Game of Thrones Ascent” for mobile devices, developer Disruptor Beam will now be making a new mobile game called “Star Trek Timelines.” The title promises to be the ultimate game for fans of the various shows, as every character from every reality will be making an appearance in the game. So far, characters from the original 1960s series and “The New Generation” have been confirmed for the mobile title.

Since it would seem odd if all the characters just got together for no reason, “Star Trek Timelines” will have a storyline that involves a temporal anamoly, which will bring all the realities together. This will be the root of the conflict, according to Touch Arcade, as each of the crew has a different way of handling things. Some of them prefer a peaceful route, while others react more violently.

From the gameplay that has been shown so far, it seems like ship battles will be a major focus of the game. Players can see the latest Enterprise ship from the most recent films take on other enemies, with the possibility of even more ships under the player’s control. It will also be interesting to see if various characters can use various ships, like Captain Picard using the original Enterprise.

Considering that the developer has worked with the “Game of Thrones” license before, it seems like the “Star Trek” product is in good hands. Previous “Star Trek” games have not garnered a good reputation, like the most recent “Star Trek” game based on the cinematic universe by Bandai Namco.

Fans interested in the game can join the community and try to participate in the “Star Trek Timelines” closed beta. The game’s multiplayer aspect has yet to be discussed by Disruptor Beam, though it will be interesting to see if ship battles can be played against other players.

“Star Trek Timelines” currently has no official release date, though the developers are hoping for a fall 2015 release. The game will be coming to both iOS and Android devices. In the meantime, fans can check out the developer’s work by downloading “Game of Thrones Ascent” since it is a free download.
