Now that “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is pretty much done dominating both the domestic and international box office, it’s time for fans to get excited about the film’s final threshold, the release on digital HD, DVD and Blu-ray. Now, just weeks ahead of the movie becoming available for the home viewer, a teaser for one of the best special features has been released.

When “Episode VII” of the popular franchise was announced, people were floored by a teaser image showing the cast assembling for the first time to do a table read of the film’s script. As Entertainment Weekly notes, the reading took place even before the movie was given the official title “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Now, a new teaser clip shows that the entire historic table read was filmed and will be available for eager fans to watch in full if they purchase the home edition of the movie.

“This was going to be the first gathering of this original cast, new cast, this core group of people that were going to be part of making this movie,” a voiceover from director J.J. Abrams says in the clip below. “We wanted to document it, but the most important thing was to hear it. Just as a fan of 'Star Wars,' to see them all together was an incredible thrill.”

As previously reported, the table read isn’t the only bonus feature that will no doubt drive fans to pick up their copy of “The Force Awakens” on DVD or Blu-ray. At the 2016 South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas, a film documenting the making of the entire project, titled “Secrets of ‘The Force Awakens’: A Cinematic Journey,” will premiere. According to Variety, the film will be released along with each copy of “The Force Awakens” whether you purchase it on digital HD, Disney Movies Anywhere or the physical DVD and Blu-ray.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will be available on Digital HD April 1 and on DVD and Blu-ray on April 5. In the meantime, fans can check out the brief teaser for the table read below.
