Stock index futures extended gains on Tuesday after a slew of upbeat corporate results and better-than-expected data on the housing market eased jitters about an economic slowdown.

S&P 500 futures rose 9.6 points and were above fair value, a formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration on the contract. Dow Jones industrial average futures added 92 points and Nasdaq 100 futures rose 21 points.
