Stock index futures held gains on Friday after government data showed that employers cut a smaller-than-expected 539,000 jobs in April, hinting at labor market improvement

S&P 500 futures rose 10 points and were above fair value, a formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration on the contract. Dow Jones industrial average futures added 66 points, and Nasdaq 100 futures gained 9 points.
