Stock index futures rose, after key data showed that U.S, durable goods orders rose more than expected for April while weekly jobless claims fell, although continuing claims hit a new record.

S&P 500 futures rose 2 points and were above fair value, a formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration on the contract. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures gained 20 points, while Nasdaq 100 futures added 0.25 points.
