Wall Street pared early gains on Friday after a survey showed U.S. consumer sentiment fell in early November to its weakest in three months.

* The Reuters/University of Michigan Surveys of Consumers said its preliminary index of sentiment for November fell to 66.0 from 70.6 in October and below survey expectations of 71.0 reading.

* The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> gained 34.76 points, or 0.34 percent, to 10,232.23. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> added 2.30 points, or 0.21 percent, to 1,089.54. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> rose 3.21 points, or 0.15 percent, to 2,152.23.
