“Storage Wars” star Mark Balelo died in an apparent suicide on Monday, just days after being arrested on drug charges.

Balelo, 40, was found by one of his employees, who discovered the actor's body in a car parked inside the garage of his auction house in Simi Valley, Calif., TMZ reported. Balelo is believed to have died of carbon monoxide poisoning. A full autopsy is scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday.

The auction aficionado was arrested on Saturday on unknown drug-related charges, TMZ said.

Balelo called his fiancée after being released from jail, and asked her to meet him at his office because he was extremely upset and thought he might harm himself, the gossip website said.

The couple reportedly met at his office on Sunday, where they talked for a few hours. After a four-hour nap, Balelo appeared in better spirits, the website said.

Little is known about what occurred between the time his fiancée left his office on Sunday evening, and the discovery of his body on Monday morning.

Balelo was best known for having appeared in several episodes of the A&E reality show “Storage Wars.”

He has had several previous run-ins with the law. In December, Balelo spent 45 days in jail after violating a probation order that stemmed from a 2009 felony drug conviction, Radar Online reported. He was found in possession of a gun in June 2011, which violated the terms of his probation. In addition, he was caught attempting to leave the state in the middle of a custody battle.

Things seemed to be looking up for Balelo, who had become a regular on “Storage Wars," the Daily Mail said. The newspaper said Balelo's Facebook page mentioned that he was in the process of developing his own reality TV show.
