The credibility of the woman who accused former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn of sexually assaulting him has come into question, a source familiar with the case said on Thursday.

The credibility is in question, the source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters.

The New York Times reported on Thursday that the case against Strauss-Kahn was near collapse as prosecutors did not believe much of the woman's story.
