Not long ago, Oppo introduced a new device in the R7 series in Dubai. Now, the Oppo R7s smartphone is available for preorder in Malaysia. However, at this point, there is no confirmation available to ascertain the availability outside Asia.

Oppo’s official Website pertaining to Malaysia has listed the new device and the preorder window ends on Nov. 22. Speaking of Oppo R7s price, the handset will set the buyers back by RM 1,898, which is about $435.

Oppo has made the R7s available in Gold color. To top it off, a limited edition Rose Gold variant is also available for preorder. However, the much-referred Rose Gold variant will be shipped only in December, GSM Arena reported. Also, it is worth noting that the first 500 preorders will reportedly get a VOOC car charger free of charge.

Meanwhile, here is a summary of key Oppo R7s specifications and features: The device features a 5.5-inch AMOLED display, bundled with a Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Speaking of size, the handset is just 0.28-inch thick and weighs 155g.

Under the hood, the R7s comes powered by an octa-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 615) processor with a cool 4 GB of RAM. On the software front, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS along with Color OS 2.1, straight out of the box. Being a brand new device, it is safe to assume that, the handset will be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow at some point.

When it comes to memory configuration, the Oppo R7s comes equipped with 32 GB of built-in storage space and microSD card slot for further expansion of up to 128 GB. Not to forget, this is a dual-SIM device.

There is a solid 13-megapixel rear-facing camera sensor with LED flash, in addition to a phenomenal 8-megapixel snapper at the front for selfies. The highlight of Oppo devices, in general, is the killer battery unit. The R7s also comes with a huge 3,070 mAh battery unit with VOOC rapid charging option. This cell is apparently capable of charging from 0 percent to 75 percent within 30 minutes.
