German supermodel Heidi Klum reportedly split from her bodyguard boyfriend, Martin Kirsten, ending their one-and-half year relationship.

A source reportedly told People magazine that the couple has not only split but that the two have decided to end their professional relationship as well and “they are no longer working together.”

“Life is about timing. He was incredibly supportive, and they were for each other, but they’re moving on now,” the source added. “They still have a great friendship.”

According to reports, Klum, 40, had started dating Kirsten after separating from her singer-songwriter husband, Seal, in January 2012. She filed for a divorce in April 2012 and announced her relationship with Kirsten in September 2012.

Reportedly, Klum and Kirsten exchanged matching Tiffany & Co. bands, even though they did not get engaged.

“I did get a present from my boyfriend. He did give me a ring and he has the same,” Klum told omg! Insider last May. “I am not engaged. I am not planning to get married anytime soon. It's just a beautiful piece of jewelry. Just something nice.”

After she announced her relationship with Kirsten, Klum, who has four children, told Bunte, a German weekly: “This is one reason why I’m so fond of him… He’s been helping for four years now, and he takes wonderful care of the kids. He plays with them, he protects them. I trust him.”

A friend close to Klum told People: “Martin was there for her during a challenging time in her life and it was something she will always be grateful for.”
