Looks like The Darkness won’t be the only thing Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) will have to worry about when “Supernatural” airs its Season 11 premiere Wednesday, Oct. 7. According to reports, the Winchester brother’s will also be forced to face an old, familiar, red-headed foe when the hit CW series returns.

The show’s executive producer, Jeremy Carver, revealed to TVLine that the powerful Scottish witch Rowena (Ruth Connell) will be “very much a problem” for the paranormal-hunting boys in the upcoming installment of “Supernatural.”

“We’ll be seeing her in the early parts of the season deciding what she wants to do with this newfound power,” the showrunner explained, adding that fans will “see what kind of success she has with that.”

In the Season 10 finale, Sam helped Rowena complete a spell that would make her powerful enough to remove the Mark of Cain from Dean, which, consequently, unleashed the primordial force – as well as made the elite sorceress even more dominant with magic.

When the finale concluded, Rowena ran off with her newfound powers (not to mention the Book of the Damned), but not before sicking a demonized version of Castiel (Misha Collins) on her son (Mark Sheppard). But thanks to the Season 11 trailer of “Supernatural,” it’s safe to say Crowley managed to survive Castiel’s angel blade (despite what Sheppard said during the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con) and will spend the forthcoming season working hand-in-hand with the Winchester’s on how to get rid of The Darkness… and his mother.

During Comic-Con, Ackles also revealed that Sam and Dean are going to have to reunite to figure out how to “deal with the decisions” they made in the Season 10 finale.

“What I like about where we’re going is the brothers are united, similar to Season 1, when we were looking for dad. We’re back to normal so to speak and we have a common target,” he stated.

“Supernatural” will air its Season 11 premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
