Hondo allows Jim to go undercover to bust a theft ring syndicate. CBS

Hondo (Shemar Moore) will put his trust on Jim Street (Alex Russell) in next week's episode of "S.W.A.T."

The promo teaser of CBS' "S.W.A.T." episode 6, titled "Octane" shows newbie Jim taking a significant role in the team's operation. Jim is the newest recruit in the team who still struggles to be an effective member of the S.W.A.T. unit. But in the upcoming episode, he will go undercover as a broker in a luxury car theft ring in order to bust a ruthless trafficker.

Jim is aware how dangerous their mission is."I have to figure a way out of here or I'm gonna die," he says. One scene features Jim taking off on a motorcycle as he meets the illegal dealers. Hondo is behind him hiding in a pile of wood to back him up. Meanwhile, a sniper is positioned on a ledge.

Viewers can expect another action-packed episode as Hondo, Jim and the rest of the team come face to face with the thugs. Of course, they will not allow these criminals to escape. But will there be any casualties involving civilians?

Aside from dealing with the ruthless traffickers, Hondo will take time to visit Raymond Harris(Aaron Bledsoe), the teenager who was shot by a former member of the S.W.A.T. team who is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

In the premiere episode, Sergeant Buck Spivey (Louis Ferreira) and the team were trying to close in on a group of criminals that led into a foot chase in the streets of Los Angeles. Spivey accidentally shot an innocent and unarmed black teenager that led to his immediate termination from the S.W.A.T. unit and Hondo's promotion.

Meanwhile, Eric Garcetti and John Scott made a cameo in "S.W.A.T." episode 5. According to the retired National Hockey League player he had never done acting before and his appearance in the series is his first time. When asked about his smooth performance, Scott gave the credit to the scriptwriter.

"It's easy when the script is just so good, so I feel...The writing is flawless. It just comes natural," Scott said. He added that he was super nervous. In fact, "way more nervous than a hockey game."
