Will Lex Ishimoto win “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 14? Fox

The top 4 contestants in “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 14 performed their most important routines for the summer. Next week, one of them will be crowned as winner and will bring home the $250,000 grand prize.

On Monday night’s installment, Taylor Sieve, Lex Ishimoto, Koine Iwasaki and Kiki Nyemchek performed a series of dance numbers that they hope will merit enough votes from the viewers. No one was eliminated towards the end of the episode, which means that the top 4 contestants will all be featured in the grand finals.

The votes from last week’s episode, as well as this week’s installment, will also be combined. Whoever receives the highest number of votes will be named as winner.

Other than performing one routine with their all-star partners, Koine and Taylor also performed a duet for the first time ever. The two contemporary dancers did a jazz routine that was praised by all three judges. Kiki and Lex performed a hip-hop number, which appeared to be more in Lex’s element. But this is not to say that Kiki did a wonderful job.

In the second round of duets, Koine was paired with Lex for a Broadway number. Rumored couple Lex and Taylor also danced a contemporary routine. Koine and Kiki also performed a contemporary dance number. All four contestants choreographed a short piece just like what they did throughout the entire season. The 10 all-stars and the top 4 also danced together in the group number.

Meanwhile, judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and Vanessa Hudgens praised and critiqued each of the dance routines. However, the three judges were not instrumental in sending one dancer home. But all of their comments could help the audiences decide on who they should vote.

The finale for “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 14 will air on Monday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. EDT on Fox. A few weeks later, all of the top 10 contestants will headline their tour alongside some of the all-stars. The winner, runners up and the rest of the Season 14 finalists will be performing live at various locations around the country.
