Taylor Armstrong, cast member of the reality-TV show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is writing a tell-all book about her relationship with her late husband, Russell.
Hiding from Reality: My Story of Love, Loss, and Finding the Courage Within will be published by Gallery Books of Simon & Schuster and is scheduled for release on Feb. 7, 2012.
This has been cathartic for me, she told Entertainment Tonight. I hope my book gives readers a better understanding of my life and struggle, behind the scenes of all the Beverly Hills glamour, and will help women, and men, too, suffering in their own abusive relationships.
Armstrong met her late husband in 2004 and they were married the following year, according to her Web site. She has said their relationship was abusive. He committed suicide in August.
I think the tragedy has allowed to me to write even more effectively because now that the person that I struggled with in an unhealthy relationship is completely out of my life, she told ET. I'm able to be very objective about how unhealthy our relationship was and what we each brought into the relationship and I feel like that distance, although it's been incredibly painful, has also given me new insight into our situation.
