The end is coming. The series finale of MTV’s “Teen Wolf” airs Sunday, and you can bet that Scott and the pack are preparing for action. Between having to fight the hunters, the Anuk-Ite (a villain they can’t look at without dying) and Kate Argent, the group will be stretched thin as they attempt to defend Beacon Hills one last time.

In “Teen Wolf” Season 6, episode 20, which is the 100th episode of the series, Gerard’s (Michael Hogan) big plan goes into its final phase. “Gerard initiates his final attack on the Supernaturals of Beacon Hills,” the series finale synopsis says.

When we left the pack, Peter (Ian Bohen) and Lydia (Holland Roden) came to warn Scott (Tyler Posey) and Malia (Shelley Hennig) that things were going to take a bad turn. Unfortunately, Lydia’s warning didn’t come soon enough. The hunters were arriving too, and they put a bunch of bullets into Deucalion’s (Gideon Emery) chest. When the fight picks back up in episode 20, titled “Wolves of War,” Scott will get some back up.

In a sneak-peek video for the final episode, the group is in bad shape. The hunters have machine guns and all the pack can do is hide. Luckily, Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) arrives driving his beloved Jeep, which he uses to hit a hunter. “You didn’t think you were doing this without me, did you?” Stiles asks.

But he isn’t the only one here to help. Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) apparently followed up after Chris Argent (J.R. Bourne) told him that they needed help defeating Gerard. “Without us?” Derek corrects. Then he brings out the blue eyes and fangs to go after the hunters.

Sterek fans will remember that we’re expecting other scenes with Stiles and Derek in the series finale. The trailer for the beginning of the season (seen at the top of this page) showed Stiles in an FBI vest carrying Derek out. It’s safe to say Derek’s plan to go after Kate may not have gone as well as he planned.

Meanwhile, the promo video for the finale only teases a little of what else to expect. We see hunters in the hospital, and then the (former) Sheriff (Linden Ashby) and Scott’s dad (Matthew Del Negro) are backing up Parrish (Ryan Kelley) as he goes into full wolf mode.

“It’s an all out war,” Scott warns.

The true alpha also seems to be in the library fighting yet another villain at the 3-second mark. The masked fighter kind of looks like an Oni, one of the Season 3 foes. Will the series somehow pay tribute to the villains in Scott’s past during the final hour?

Though the “Teen Wolf” series finale is extended to 50 minutes rather than the usual 42, don’t expect the episode to last longer. It looks like the finale will just have fewer commercials. The schedule says “Teen Wolf” will be over by 9:01 p.m. EDT.

The “Teen Wolf” series finale airs Sunday, Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. EDT on MTV.
