"Thursday Night Football" for the 2022 season concludes in Week 17 with a matchup between the Tennessee Titans and Dallas Cowboys. The latest odds heavily favor the Cowboys at home, in part because of the playoff scenarios for both teams.

The Titans are 10.5-point underdogs in what is a virtually meaningless game for Tennessee. The winner of the Week 18 matchup between the Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars will become the AFC South champion and head to the playoffs, regardless of what happens Thursday night.

The Cowboys have already secured a spot in the final NFL playoff picture, but they still have plenty on the line. Dallas will win the NFC East if it finishes the regular season with two more victories and the Philadelphia Eagles lose each of their next two games. Winning the division would also give the Cowboys a chance to earn the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

Dallas kept its NFC East hopes alive by defeating Philadelphia in Week 16. Jalen Hurts missed the game with a shoulder injury. Hurts might return Sunday for the Eagles' matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

Philadelphia is a -1700 favorite at FanDuel Sportsbook to win the NFC East. Dallas has +1200 odds to complete a comeback and win the division.

If the Eagles clinch the NFC East title in Week 17, the Cowboys will be locked into the conference's No. 5 seed, setting up a first-round playoff matchup with the NFC South champion. Dallas might choose to rest some of its starters in the regular-season finale.

Tennessee seems to be taking that approach in Week 17 in order to get ready for what is essentially a playoff game in Week 18. Derrick Henry was limited in practice Tuesday because of a hip injury, while defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons was out because of his ankle. It seems likely that the Titans will rest their best offensive and defensive players in a short week.

Even if the Titans were playing to keep their postseason hopes alive Thursday, the Cowboys would be one of the biggest favorites on the Week 17 schedule. Tennessee has fallen out of first place and under .500 during a five-game losing streak. The Titans are averaging 15.2 points per game in the losing skid.

Malik Willis will start his fourth game at quarterback for Tennessee. The rookie has completed 31 of his 61 pass attempts for 276 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions. Willis hasn't been able to make up for his lack of production through the air with his legs, rushing for 123 yards on 4.6 yards per attempt.

The Titans have their eyes on Week 18. Expect the Cowboys to roll to a win straight up and against the spread.

Prediction: Dallas over Tennessee, 27-10
