Terrence Howard sent Twitter abuzz when he introduced John Legend and Common before they performed the Oscar-winning song “Glory” from “Selma” at the 87th Academy Awards at Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California Sunday night. Howard’s impassioned speech was so heartfelt-- or overacted-- that not even accidentally knocking into his microphone could stop the “Empire” star from interrupting his words. While many netizens were quick to remark on the performance, others were focused on Howard.

Some people compared him to War Machine, his character from “Iron Man.”

Others remarked how Howard was replaced by Don Cheadle in future movies.

Others noticed he sweat quite a bit.

There were a few who remarked the teleprompter person would be in trouble for Howard’s flub.

Some took as far as saying Howard might have been high.
