An unidentified minor was arrested on Saturday after allegedly shooting his 10-year-old brother, killing him. The individual in question is 12-years-old.

A motive for the incident, which occurred in Conroe, Texas, remains unclear, authorities say, according to the New York Post, but the 12-year-old boy has been charged with murder and is being held at the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Facility.

His sibling was found with a gunshot wound to the chest after Montgomery County responded to a report of a shooting at a home in Conroe on Saturday afternoon. After the boy was taken to the hospital, he succumbed to his injury.

The family didn’t want to comment about it to reporters, but according to Fox News, local ABC affiliate KTRK-TV, reported that they said this has been an unspeakable tragedy.

Just several months ago, in January, again in Texas, a 12-year-old boy was charged with capital murder after shooting and killing professional boxer John Duane VanMeter, 24. The boy broke into VanMeter's home to commit the crime, allegedly shooting the athlete in the head.
