Week 1 of the 2015 NFL season is set to start on Thursday, and every other week but one will begin the same way. After the New England Patriots host the Pittsburgh Steelers to play the first game of the year on NBC, “Thursday Night Football” will kick off Weeks 2-16.

A Thursday night game begins the NFL schedule every week, except for Week 17, when all 16 games will be played on a Sunday. Every Thursday night contest from Week 2-Week 8, as well as Week 13, will air on CBS. After Week 1, the NFL Network will broadcast every game on Thursday night with the exception of Week 12. Each game begins at 8:25 p.m. ET.

Week 12 features three games on Thanksgiving, but none of them will be broadcast on the NFL Network. Detroit vs. Philadelphia and Dallas vs. Carolina are scheduled for the afternoon, while the Chicago Bears visit the Green Bay Packers at night on NBC.

Two games are listed on the “Thursday Night Football” schedule and will air on the NFL Network, though they are scheduled for Saturday night. The New York Jets visit the Dallas Cowboys in Week 15, and the Washington Redskins visit the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 16.

All but three games on the schedule feature two teams from the same division. The first instance is in Week 14 when the Minnesota Vikings visit the Arizona Cardinals.
