Lytro

If she’s a shuttergeek, she’ll already have heard about the very cool new Lytro camera. This little guy looks a treat, with its colorful exterior and minimalist, elongated design, but even better is what’s on the inside: the Lytro is the first camera to take photos whose focus can be adjusted after the shot. Unfortunately, the Lytro won’t actually ship until 2012, so if you’re looking for the benefit of the Christmas morning reveal, you’re out of luck, but we think it might be a gadget worth waiting for. Available in a 16GB red version for $499, and in 8G in graphite or electric blue for $399 on Lytro.com.
