Gevo, Inc. (NASDAQ:GEVO) shares climbed 16.50 percent to $2.40 in post-market trading. The company announced that it has hired Dr. Stephen P. Toon as its Executive Vice President of Operations and Process Development. In his new role at Gevo, Dr. Toon will have overall responsibility for Gevo's Luverne, Minn. facility from startup through to commercial operation.

Erickson Air-Crane, Inc. (NASDAQ:EAC) shares rose 14.86 percent to $16.23 in post-market trading. The company said Tuesday it purchased McMinnville-based Evergreen International Aviation’s helicopter company for $250 million in cash and notes.

Adobe Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADBE) shares advanced 6.26 percent to $43.30 in post-market trading. The company reported its first quarter results Tuesday and profit was 65 percent down from previous year, but topped market expectations.  The San Jose, California-based company reported adjusted net income for the first quarter was $177.9 million or $0.35 per share, compared to $284.5 million or $0.57 per share in the prior year quarter. On average, 24 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.31 per share for the first quarter.

Francesca's Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ: FRAN) shares gained 4.34 percent to $28.15 in post-market trading. The company reported Q4 EPS of $0.33, $0.03 better than the analysts' estimate of $0.30. Revenue for the quarter came in at $86.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $84.89 million.

Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ:INFA) shares surged 1.74 percent to $37.13 in post-market trading. The company shares have a 52-week trading range of $23.83-$54.49 and a market capitalization of $3.94 billion.

Losers

Fuel-Tech, Inc. (NASDAQ:FTEK) shares plunged 8.95 percent to $4.07 in post-market trading. The company shares plummeted after it posted fourth-quarter net loss of $29,000 or breakeven per share, compared to net income of $1.7 million or $0.07 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Revenues for the latest fourth quarter were $26.61 million, down from $28.00 million in the prior year period against analysts’ expectation of a earnings of $0.05 per share on revenues of $28.38 million for the quarter.
