The top after-market NASDAQ gainers Tuesday were Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Inc, Canadian Solar Inc, Career Education Corporation Inc, Amicus Therapeutics Inc, and KiOR Inc, while top after-market losers were PLX Technology, Symmetricom, Maxwell Technologies Inc and Neutral Tandem Inc.  

Gainers

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Inc (RMCF) shares climbed 22.74 percent to $13.01 in post-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $8.40, a 52-week high of $13.97 and $64.13 million in market capitalization.

Canadian Solar Inc (CSIQ) shares gained 3.92 percent to $3.18 in post-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $1.95, a 52-week high of $4.74 and $132.06 million in market capitalization.  

Career Education Corporation (CECO) shares rose 3.69 percent to $3.65 in post-market trading. The company shares surged after it announced that the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) has vacated the June 2012 show cause order for all ten of the company's ACCSC-accredited campuses and they are now free to pursue new program approvals. The stock has a 52-week trading range of $2.51 - $12.41 and $236.53 million in market capitalization.

Amicus Therapeutics Inc (FOLD) shares advanced 2.47 percent to $5.80 in post-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $2.96, a 52-week high of $7.29 and $279.88 million in market capitalization.

KiOR Inc (KIOR) shares went up by 2.02 percent to $6.88 in post-market trading. The shares surged over 10 percent in regular trade. The stock has a 52-week low of $4.82, a 52-week high of $13.90 and $709.06 million in market capitalization.

Losers

PLX Technology (PLXT) shares declined 11.11 percent to $4.00 in post-market trading. The stock has a 52-week trading range of $2.66 - $6.70 and $202.69 million in market capitalization.    

Symmetricom (SYMM) shares slumped 10.00 percent to $5.40 in post-market trading. The shares dropped after the company said Tuesday that it expects to post a loss of a penny to 5 cents per share on an adjusted basis for the period ending Dec. 30 on a revenue of $46 million to $49 million, down from prior revenue guidance of $55 million to $62 million.

Maxwell Technologies Inc (MXWL) shares dropped 9.95 percent to $7.31 in post-market trading.  The stock has a 52-week low of $5.81, a 52-week high of $9.95 and $233.34 million in market capitalization.

Neutral Tandem Inc (IQNT) shares fell 8.32 percent to $2.56 in post-market trading.  The stock has a 52-week low of $2.10, a 52-week high of $14.15 and $89.90 million in market capitalization.
