The company reported the second quarter net profit of $70.2 million or $0.89 per share, up from $61.2 million or $0.78 per share in the same period last year and also topped Reuters’ estimate of $0.87 per share. Global Payments currently expects its fiscal 2013 earnings to be in a range of $3.01 to $3.08 per share, up from its prior estimate of $2.99 to $3.06 per share.

Radioshack Corp. (RSH) shares surged 3.85 percent to $2.16 in post-market trading. The company stock plunged more than 7.5 percent in regular trading.

USG Corp. (USG) shares gained 2.04 percent to $29.47 in post-market trading. The company announced Tuesday that it would hold a conference call and webcast to discuss the fourth quarter and full year 2012 results Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. EST.
