Ronaldo ended his 18-year career in professional football in a tearful press conference on Monday. Having scored a total of 326 goals in 466 games at club level, along with figures of 62 goals in 97 caps for Brazil, he is arguably one of the greatest players of all-time.

He has won the World Cup two-times, in 1994 and 2002. However, his unmatched record in the International stage is the 15 goals scored in the World Cup. The feat led to him being nicknamed 'O Fenomeno' ('The Phenomenon).

He also won an incredible three FIFA World Player of the Year awards in 1996, 1997 and 2002. In his lone season at Barcelona, he created history by scoring a club record of 47 goals in 49 appearances.
