A Massachusetts woman was arrested Saturday for exiting her car and allegedly threatening an off-duty police officer with a knife while topless, the Cape Cod Times reported Tuesday.

Susan Kettell was arrested on Saturday on three counts of assault, among other charges. A Saturday afternoon caller reported a car driving erratically, according to the Sandwich Police Department. The 39-year-old woman reportedly tried to crash into the caller’s car before arriving behind it at a red light. The caller was later revealed to be an off-duty Sandwich police officer.

According to the off-duty police officer, Kettell drove at his vehicle. She removed her shirt and ran topless at his vehicle while holding a knife before throwing a cigarette at his car. When police found her, they saw open bottles of Guinness in her vehicle and smelled alcohol on her. They also saw a dagger in her car. Upon conducting tests, they discovered she was intoxicated. A male in the car was also intoxicated and taken into custody by police.

Kettell’s arraignment was postponed until Aug. 2 because she was taken to the hospital, according to court documents.

“As a result, Kettell was placed under arrest and charged with OUI 2nd Offense, Operating on a Revoked Driver’s License, Three counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon to wit Double Edged Knife, Lewd and Lascivious Conduct, and several other motor vehicle violations,” wrote the Sandwich Police Department in a Facebook post Monday.

This incident was not Kettell’s first run-in with the law. She was arrested in April for smashing a glass window at Lambert’s Farm Market and stealing chicken salad and lasagna, reported The Sandwich Enterprise. She was charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime, a felony. She was also charged with obstruction of property. According to police reports, officers noted a strong smell of alcohol coming from Kettell.
