Join us here for live streaming updates of the Tour de France. The race moves into Stage 12, which is also D-Day for the General Classification contenders in the peloton.

It is the first day of the Pyrenees and should be an epic battle between the major yellow-jersey contenders.

In total, the riders will have to cross 3 mountains. The first is the 10 km Category Horquette d'Ancizan, then the 17 km Hors Category Col de Tourmalet, and finally the 13 km Hors Category finishing climb to Luz-Ardiden.

Defending champion Alberto Contador reports that his knee is feeling better. Cadel Evans and Andy Schleck will be testing that knee, particularly on that final climb.

We should be seeing the major GC contenders attacking one another on that final climb.

Evans currently has an 11 second advantage over Schleck and a 1:41 lead over Contador.

One dangerous combination could be HTC's Tony Martin and Peter Velits who sit at only 12 second behind Evans. The HTC pair could work together to try to get a jump on the other contenders.

It should be an exciting day in the Tour de France!
