Britain’s Mark Cavendish won the 11th stage of the Tour de France on Wednesday, a flat stage of 119.3 miles across the plains of central France on largely narrow and winding country roads, Agence France Press reported.

American Tyler Farrar came in second for the stage and Yauheni Hutarovich of Belarues was third.

Rinaldo Nocentini maintained the overall lead. Spain’s Alberto Contador stayed in second place overall while Lance Armstrong of the U.S. was third.
