Toyota Motor Corp is considering offering cash incentives of 50,000 yen ($580) per car to its dealers throughout Japan from October 1, the Tokyo Shimbun newspaper reported on Friday.

Toyota expects the end of government subsidies for eco-friendly cars at the end of September to lead to a decline in domestic new car sales after October, the paper said.

The incentive program, which will exclude Prius hybrid cars and new models, will last two to three months, the paper said.
