After a good amount of waiting, Warner Bros. and Traveller’s Tales (aka TT Games) have revealed the first “Lego Avengers” trailer for the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), scheduled for June 16-18 in Los Angeles. This will be the second time Lego visits the Marvel Universe, although this time it’s the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) that is getting the Lego treatment, as the game will follow the events of Marvel’s “Avengers” movies.

As mentioned in Comic Book, most of the trailer is set in the now famous Battle of New York that happened in 2012's "The Avengers," when Loki attempted to take over the Earth before he was thwarted by “Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.” While the trailer mostly shows the events of that epic battle, it still showcases its Lego humor, such as in the scene where Hulk takes a selfie after he downs the giant serpent in the first film.

While the trailer mostly focuses on the first film, “Lego Avengers” will also cover the events of the most recent MCU film, “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” as hinted by the end of the trailer, where Lego Ultron was briefly shown. Every character who has appeared in the “Avengers” films is set to make Lego appearances, so players can expect to use Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow.

If there are any faults to point out, it could be the fact that there was another Lego game called “Lego Marvel Super Heroes,” which wasn’t just a success but also featured almost every Marvel character to date, including obscure ones like Moon Knight and upcoming movie star Ant-Man. The complete roster for “Lego Avengers” hasn’t been confirmed yet, but some fans have been expecting disappointment due to the limited characters that have appeared in the “Avengers” films thus far.

“Lego Avengers” will be coming this winter, so hopefully Warner Bros. and TT Games will announce the title’s full roster soon, maybe even during E3. As is the case with most Lego games, Gamespot has confirmed that the title will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, 3DS, PS Vita and PC.
