Optimus Prime and his band of Autobots are back.

The trailer of the fifth “Transformers” movie, titled “Transformers: The Last Knight,” was released by Paramount Pictures recently. The movie, which is directed by Michael Bay, stars Mark Wahlberg as Cade Yeager, Josh Duhamel as Lt. Colonel William Lennox, Laura Haddock, Isabella Moner, Stanley Tucci as Joshua Joyce and John Turturro as Agent Simmons. Tyrese Gibson and Josh Duhamel round up the cast.

“Westworld” actor Anthony Hopkins also stars in the movie in an unknown role.

The trailer was released one day after Bay announced that filming had been completed. Shooting for “Transformers: The Last Knight” took place in Michigan, Winston Churchill’s boyhood home and in a replica of Stonehenge, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Here are three things we learned about “Transformers 5” from watching the video:

1. Humans Face Off Against The Transformers

Hopkins narrates the story of “Transformers: The Last Knight” in the two-and-a-half-minute trailer. “It is being said through the ages [that] without sacrifice there can be no victory,” he narrates while we see glimpses of various wars waged by mankind through the ages. “Two species at war. One flesh, one metal.”

It’s the autobots vs. humans and only one species will survive. Yikes.

2. Optimus Prime Has Turned Evil

“Optimus Prime has left us,” Hopkins tells us. Worse, we see him attacking Bumblebee after saying, “Forgive me.” What happened to him? Many fans are shocked to learn that the leader of the Autobots has turned against humanity.

3. Earth Is Special

There are a trillion planets in the cosmos, so why do the aliens keep coming here? What makes earth so special. Apparently, we will find out in the upcoming “Transformers” movie.

Watch the humans fight the metal aliens in “Transformers: The Last Knight.” The movie hits theatres on June 23, 2017.
