People celebrated Trimery in the city of Strumica, Macedonia, in Southeast Europe in February end to mark the beginning of the fasting period ahead of Easter 2012.

During the traditional Trimery celebration, revelers from various performing groups participated in the holiday's dance rituals which, they believe, will chase away evil spirits.
