President Donald Trump made numerous bizarre statements Monday at his first rally since he was diagnosed with COVID-19 earlier this month. Many of the attendees at the crowded event in Sanford, Florida, were not wearing masks, while Trump's voice often sounding hoarse.

In the hour-long speech at an airport, Trump riffed on familiar themes. He railed against China and painted Democratic nominee Joe Biden as a puppet of the “radical globalists.” Trump attacked the polls and boasted of his reelection chances against Biden, despite trailing in most surveys.

In a politically curious move, Trump also attacked “Crooked Hillary [Clinton]” and reiterated the false claim that former President Barack Obama spied on his 2016 campaign. Trump said he would seek retribution for his political foes after the election.

"We'll take care of it all after the election. We caught 'em cold. We caught 'em cold. Bad people. Crooked Hillary. And by the way, Obama and Biden knew everything that was happening. We'll take care of it after the election,” Trump said.

In addition, Trump falsely claimed that he was “immune” to the coronavirus. There have been cases where former COVID-19 patients were infected a second time.

"They say I'm immune. I feel so powerful. I'll watch into that audience, I'll walk in there, kiss everyone in that audience. I'll kiss the guys and the beautiful women,” Trump said.

Trump falsely claimed that Mexico is paying for the border wall with the U.S., and said there is no crime in the country outside of “Democrat-run cities.”

He also touted his Nobel Peace Prize nomination and said it was not given enough attention by the media.

Trump has told his campaign to hold events every day until the election on Nov. 3. Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease specialist, has advised against the rallies, as COVID-19 cases spike across the country. The rally Tuesday was considered a superspreader event.

Biden also campaigned Monday, visiting the key battleground state of Ohio. Biden held campaign events in Toledo and Cincinnati, as surveys show a close race between the former vice president and Trump. No Republican nominee has won the White House without winning Ohio.
