Twitter Down, Suffering From Capacity Issues And Outages, Was It Hacked?

Much like Google Talk going down earlier today, Twitter is experiencing service issues all over the globe, according to TechCrunch. Whether or not the outage is due to a hacking attempt similar to the one last month committed by a user calling herself Hannah Sweet over Twitter's supporting of the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA), no one is sure. The previous hacking attempt on Twitter brought the social networking site down for 40 minutes, a minor victory for the group opposing Twitter's support of CISPA.

With Twitter being down, in conjunction to Google Talk not functioning, Facebook seems like the only social networking outlet currently available.

How people will continue to talk about Google Talk not functioning is a mystery.
