On the event of the terrorist attack at Ariana Grande’s concert in Manchester, England, many celebrities including Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Demi Lovato and Kim Kardashian had extended their love and support toward the popstar on social media. However, after being bashed by several Twitter users for her choice of a picture she posted along with her tribute, Kardashian deleted her tweet, Thursday.

While the first two tweets posted by the reality star, where she talks about how her heart breaks thinking about what the “senseless” attacks would do to the parents of the victims, it was the third tweet that Twitter users had an issue with.

The third tweet was directed in support of Grande, who is a close friend of Kardashian. While the caption displayed a strong message condemning the attack, the picture it was under showed Kardashian in the centre of a party, surrounded by a bunch of friends and celebrities, one of whom was the “Dangerous Woman” singer.

However, while the intention behind the picture was to show solidarity with the singer, people were quick to point out that it was narcissistic of Kardashian to make herself the central focus of the picture, while Grande’s face was barely noticeable in the backdrop.

However, there were those who did not agree with this observation and defended the relevance of the picture saying that Kardashian had posted it because Grande was in it.

Kardashian’s choice of picture was bashed by the users more than anything else. In fact, only months ago, Kardashian had uploaded a picture on her Instagram of Grande hugging North West, her daughter, in the popstar’s dressing room as Kardashian stood in the back. The picture was taken at one of Grande’s concerts that both Kardashian and her daughter had attended.

While similar tributes were paid by other celebrities, they chose to upload their pictures with Grande sharing the limelight.

Kardashian, who celebrated her third anniversary with husband Kanye West on Thursday, deleted her tribute to Grande along with the picture. But this did not stop people from mocking her decision to first upload the wrong kind of picture and then deleting it. She is now being branded as insensitive for choosing to delete her tribute to Grande in the wake of the ordeal that the popstar recently went through.

However, Kardashian does not seem to be bothered by the fresh onslaught of trolling that has begun on the social media following her deleting her tweet.

In order to celebrate the successful completion of three years of marriage, Kardashian wrote “3 down, a lifetime to go” in a post, beneath an old picture of herself with West from the time that they were dating. She even retweeted a video compilation made by the Twitter user “KimKanyeKimYe” that showed the journey of the couple through the years that they have been together.

Even though she had briefly disappeared from social media at the end of the year after the Paris robbery, Kardashian has resumed her love for posting pictures of all the latest happenings of her life in the recent few months.
