UK govt fails to agree deal with Magna over GM
LONDON - The British government said that talks with unions and Canadian automotive company Magna over the future of carmaker Vauxhall/Opel had failed to reach agreement.
We have not yet reached a conclusion which is acceptable to either the union or the government, said a spokesperson for the government's business department after talks involving Business Secretary Peter Mandelson.
Talks will continue over the coming days, it added.
