US soldier among two dead in Frankfurt airport shooting

Two people, including an American soldier, have been shot to death on a bus carrying US soldiers at the airport in Frankfurt, Germany.

Reportedly, a 21-year-old gunman from Kosovo opened fire on the bus, also killing the driver and seriously wounding two other soldiers.

The suspect has been arrested.

Police spokesman Jurgen Linker told the Die Welt newspaper that the incident tok place inside the bus and it is unclear if it was a work of terrorism or not.

The airport is near Ramstein Air Base, the US Air Force's headquarters in Europe.
Last year, four Islamists were convicted for plotting to bomb targets including Ramstein Air Base.
