And singles shouldn't fret. Some of these titles will make for an equally fun date with your best friend or even during a group outing. So check out the titles below for this year's best Valentine's Day flicks.

New Releases

1. "Endless Love"

The story follows the passionate, and at times dark, romance between a well-off girl (Gabriella Wilde) and the boy (Alex Pettyfer) of her desire. Her parents are against their relationship, automatically making for teen angst and the drama of forbidden love.

2. "About Last Night"

This romantic comedy -- starring Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, Joy Bryant and Regina Hall -- puts a modern twist on the classic tale. The film tracks the evolution of two new couples as they navigate all the challenges of relationships and love.

3. "Winter’s Tale"

Starring Jessica Brown Findlay and Colin Farrell, this fable follows the story of a heiress who captures the heart of a burglar who attempts to rob her family's home.

Other Options

4. "The LEGO Movie"

This animated film doesn’t necessarily fall under the category of love story. But as it follows the journey of Emmet, a LEGO minifigure that is accidently mistaken for the most important person in the world, it makes for a charming alternative to the usual mushy film.

5. "Her"

If you and your sweetie are looking for the ultimate display of pure love, then “Her” might be the right film. It follows the story of Theodore Twombly, who sparks a relationship with “Samantha,” the charismatic and engaging female voice attached to his new advanced operating system. The pair strike up a friendship that ultimately begins to turn into a deeper love.

6. "Labor Day"

This film isn’t your typical love story. Starring Kate Winslet, Josh Brolin and Tobey McGuire, it follows the meeting of a fugitive and a bitter single mom, who ultimately find solace in each other.
