We may be getting ahead of ourselves by dishing out some awesome spoilers on episode two of the fourth season of “The Vampire Diaries,” but this was just too good to hold in! Fans can expect some Damon and Elena time away from Stefan’s prying eyes!

To recap the season three finale: Bonnie performed a spell to put Klaus in Tyler’s body. Elena chose Stefan over Damon. Rebekah jumped in front of Matt’s car to send him and Elena off Wickery Bridge. Stefan, at the request of Elena, saved Matt, accidentally letting her die. Dr. Fell revealed that she had injected Elena with Damon’s blood earlier that day, meaning that the Mystic Falls teen would reawaken as a vampire!

Ready to move onto episode two of season four, “Memorial?” According to a synopsis for the episode, fans should expect some serious blood thirsty drama.

"A NEW DANGER COMES TO TOWN — Elena (Nina Dobrev) tries to cope with the extreme highs and lows that are part of becoming a vampire, and Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) almost come to blows while arguing about what is best for her. Damon decides to help Elena in his own way and asks her not to tell Stefan. A stranger, Connor Jordan (guest star Todd Williams, 'Chicago Code'), arrives in town and begins questioning Sheriff Forbes and Mayor Lockwood. Connor's actions quickly convince Stefan that they are dealing with a dangerous vampire hunter. Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Matt (Zach Roerig) are surprised to see a girl they used to know, April (guest star Grace Phipps, 'The Nine Lives of Chloe King'), has returned to town and is enrolling at Mystic Falls High. At a town gathering, Elena comes close to losing control until Caroline steps in to help her. Finally, Damon confides his feelings to an unexpected friend."

Intense, right? While initial previews show Damon and Stefan arguing over the best way to help Elena, it’s definitely exciting for Delena fans that Elena will be listening to Damon ... and keeping a secret from Stefan. Although Damon’s “own way” of helping Elena is bound to cause some sort of trouble, the bad boy Salvatore seems to have lead Elena in the right direction while they searched for Ripper Stefan last season. Will the two be drawn together romantically because of their new vampire training class? And will Elena finally address the encounter that she had with Damon the night that her parents died? Fangs crossed!

As for new vampire hunter Connor, will he find himself as a friend to the supernatural Mystic Falls gang? Although evil Alaric outed everyone to the council before he died, it seems like the supernatural folks in town might have a chance of survival even though they’ve been unearthed. Caroline has found her way back in town, and her and Elena are even showing up in public at a town gathering. Instead of a threat, will Connor be the “unexpected friend” that Damon confides in?

Season four of “The Vampire Diaries” premieres on the CW on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
