Vampire Diaries
Damon (Ian Somerhalder) realizes that his actions have consequences in a sneak-peek video from "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7, episode 2. CW

The Heretics aren’t going to let the Salvatores get away with anything in “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7. After Stefan (Paul Wesley) made a deal to hand over Mystic Falls to the evil vampires, everyone was supposed to be safe, except those who decided not to evacuate the town. However, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) didn’t agree with the deal. They killed one of the Heretics, and in a sneak-peek video from episode 2, Damon realizes that his actions have serious repercussions.

In the clip, Damon and Stefan are moving into Tyler’s (Michael Trevino) house. Damon takes the master bedroom and jokes that they have to air out the werewolf’s home. “Let's open the windows too,” Damon says. “It reeks of dog in here, which is impressive considering Tyler has been with Jeremy for months.”

Stefan isn’t in a joking mood. He confronts his brother about killing Malcolm (Justice Leak). “Lily came by earlier,” Stefan informs him. “She found him in the town square without a heart.”

“Oh, did she want that back?” Damon jokes.

Damon tells Stefan that they didn’t make a good deal, but Stefan quickly makes Damon see how serious the situation is when he reveals that Lily (Annie Wersching) kidnapped Caroline (Candice King).

“But you weren’t the one that did it,” Damon reasons.

“Yeah, I know I wasn’t. You were,” Stefan says. “Which is why you are going to go over there and you’re going to fix it.”

Damon likely won’t be able get to Caroline before the Heretics get a chance to torture her. Executive producer Julie Plec previously teased that Mary Louise (Teressa Lianne) and Nora (Scarlett Byrne) would have plenty of opportunities to hurt the vampire. “Mary-Louise and Nora are such mean girls,” Plec told Zap2It in July. “They are hilarious. They out mean-girl Caroline and they take lots of pleasure in torturing her.”

“The Vampire Diaries” Season 7, episode 2 airs Thursday at 8 p.m. EDT on the CW.
