Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder aren’t happy about some speculation surrounding Dobrev’s upcoming exit on “The Vampire Diaries” Season 6. The former couple has been dealing with rumors that Dobrev’s departure is due to Somerhalder’s upcoming nuptials to Nikki Reed, but they seem to want fans to know that there aren’t any hard feelings.

On Friday night, Dobrev, 26, tweeted a picture of some polaroids with her ex. “#FBF to last week with @IanSomerhalder shooting our final ‘Damon and Elena’ scene,” Dobrev wrote.

The pictures show the two goofing off and making funny faces between takes on the set of “The Vampire Diaries” Season 6 finale. The pair, who dated from 2010-2013, may have been trying to keep the mood light if the episode was particularly dramatic for the onscreen couple. As previously reported, Damon (Somerhalder) will be directly responsible Elena’s (Dobrev) exit, so it’s likely that their scenes weren’t so happy.

There has been speculation that the actors haven’t been getting along for months. After Somerhalder directed episode 16, reports surfaced that Dobrev made his job difficult. “Nina was acting cold towards Ian on set,” a source told Hollywood Life. “Nina was kinda mean to Ian. He was directing her and moving her around and she would barely answer him.”

Yet Dobrev looks anything but mean in the pictures above. She hasn’t been the only one on rumor patrol. Earlier this month, Somerhalder, 36, addressed the rumors directly when he linked to an article that said Dobrev’s departure had nothing to do with him. “THIS IS A VERY INFORMED ARTICLE,” he wrote.

While it’s good to know Dobrev and Somerhalder seem to be on good terms, we’re more worried about Damon and Elena. At the end of episode 19, they were determined to take the cure together, but they can’t really go off into the sunset together as humans. Damon will stick around for Season 7, which means they have to split up at some point.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EDT on the CW.
